Here Comes Everybody, by Clay Shirky [Book tips]

Here Comes Everybody: How Change Happens when People Come Together by Clay Shirky is a couple of years old now but a must read. Clay Shirky is a professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and he teaches and consults on the social and economic effects of the internet.

Here Comes Everybody is about what happened when the web went social. All social tools available to everyone connected made it easier than ever to form groups, join forces and take action against anything that concerns people.

The effects of a social web is both good and bad, Clay Shirky discuss both the economical benefits but also the social downsides.

I just received the book this morning from Amazon and I’ll get back with a full review when I’ve finished reading it. Until then here’s a great video interview with Clay Shirky talking about Here Comes Everybody.
