How music bands can use social media tools to talk [Video]

Johan Lindgren and his sister Maja are old friends of mine from my hometown of Sweden, Ljungskile. They have both played in bands for as long as I can remember. When we went to high-school, Johan played in a band called Agnes, a band whom’s songs often where played on our parties. This was 2002.

And then came MySpace. The perfect way for small bands to get discovered and finding their audience. The thing is that the new music scene coming forward really ruptured the music industry, they are no longer needed. There job as spotting talents and investing money, marketing and CD-production is no longer needed.

Johan is planning to record some more songs on YouTube and share them via his blog he’s passionately writing about music. Johan is using the social media tools to talk to his fans, or as marketers calls them: customers.
